Yes, and specially if you live in another country as Turkey or India and you're from a Afghan background or even Pakistani or even Iran I heard, you get extra processing but after the interview you can ask them and maybe they can give you a approx how long itll take. My fiance lives in Turkey but he's from Afghanistan moved about a year ago, & he went under processing which they told him it'll take a couple of weeks.

so is he still on AP?  How long as he been on AP

Yea my husband already had his interview two weeks ago and has been on AP since.

After the interview my fiance asked how long will he be under AP and the CO said a week or the most 2 weeks but it got removed 4 days after. Did the CO tell him anything after his interview?

No they didn't tell him how long because I guess they don't really know how long AP takes. But they did keep his passport. I think they are doing extra security checks which is the new extreme vetting policy and not sure how long it will take. I assumed with this new policy they do this with all the males getting visas and they all go on AP after interviews but I could be wrong. I know in the past months people getting theirs within a week or two weeks after interviews even though it is case by case.
