I don't think she needs a PC the instructions state that you need one for the place you lived for more than a year after you were 16, if she's always been in the US so no, I received a checklist for police records although I already sent it but I am allowed to take it to the interview, so in case thy ask for it maybe they'll ask you to take it to the interview. @Franciscoruizt

We didn't sent one because our lawyer never told us to because he says is not required for our case I was just kind of confused because I see a lot of people mentioning it in here...

Hello everyone... we sent all the paper work to nvc case closed we didn't revive any checklist of papers missing..I was a little concerned about the police certificate.. my question is if NVC didn't ask for it does that mean I don't need it at the interview? It's for my wife who left Mexico when she was 4 yrs old

Apologies Francis.. I really thought I read somewhere on one of these forums that someone had to have a police certificate even though they haven't lived there after 16.. But maybe it wasn't Mexico.. Would it be difficult to obtain a police certificate? Reason why I'm asking is that you don't want any reason to have to deny you one.

 @SCanchola

Do you have any advice or do you think Francis will be ok?

Thanks.

Hello everyone,

Wonderful forum as I've been browsing on it for 2 months going through the journey with my wife. I have a question to ask everyone.

What is the likelihood of NVC rescheduling an interview date at the ISL (Pakistan) embassy? It's been quite long journey for me and my wife and we finally got our interview date for late August, this past Friday. I would ideally like for her interview to take place beginning to mid of August. I did see a template on the first post of this thread but would it better to contact NVC or embassy direct?

My wife has the documents in-order, since two months ago, and just needs to do medical obviously.

Thank you everyone and good luck to everyone going through this journey.

Case Info:

Jan 2017 - Received notification from NVC

Feb 2017 - Filed DS-260 and sent documents

April 2017 - Received CHKLIST

June 2017 - Sent Expedited Request

June 2017 - Received interview date

Aug 2017 - Interview date

Hello,

Does anyone know if the NVC is closed tomorrow and the day after for the 4th of July long weekend?

Thanks!

Nope, the NVC will only be closed on Tues. If a federal holiday falls in the middle of the week there is no long weekend.

(If it falls on a Saturday then the preceding Friday is a holiday and if it falls on a sunday then the next monday is a holiday)

Salam/Hi,

you’ll need to contact US embassy Islamabad. But i donmt think they will reschedule the interview in earlier dates because NVC and embassy work together to schedule interviews. Its depeneds on slots. Anyways you can try its worth trying. Mine is also in late august.

Thanks
