Good day everyone! I had my k1 interview last 10th of May 2017 and received a 221g letter from the US Embassy stating that they need another NBI from me with AKA. So I did it right away after my interview, but then upon queuing at the NBI main office I noticed that they mispelled my misspelled surname at the 221g letter. I tried explaining to the woman assisting me that time that it was just a typographical error so she asked for my birth certificate I thought I had one in my folder but I just submitted it to the Embassy as I remember. It was my fault somehow, I should have photocopied all my personal papers before submitting it. So back to that lady, she didn't listen to me they were really strict about the spelling of the name on that letter. (Lesson learned double check everything before leaving the US Embassy). When I got back home I emailed them saying I need another 221g letter from them with the correct misspelled surname of mine they emailed me back that it will take 2 to 3 business days for them to write me back. So I just waited then still no email from them, I tried calling them too but it seems like I am really lucky with this. So after 2 weeks still no email from them, I just decided to go back to the NBI and get the one that I filed with my wrong misspelled surname and went to the nearest 2go outlet and sent it back to the Embassy. The day after that I finally received a letter from them with my correct misspelled surname and saying that my NBI should be in the right name (never thought it would be this long before they will give action to your concern). So I filed for another NBI and get it after 2 weeks. They received my document last May 31, 2017 and until now I am still waiting if I am approve or what. I keep on checking my visa status for almost 2 weeks now and in my case it was on administrative processing then ready and now back to administrative processing again. I don't know when I will be getting a good news, I need a peace of mind. Anyone in here has the same situation as mine? I would love to hear from you guys.
