Hi All,

As US Citizen I filed I-130 form for my Spouse and got the priority date as February 8 , 2017 , but later I found that I have made some mistake with my form I-130. So for that USCIS officer opened a Service request to make the changes to my filed application , but later they told me to send a mail to Texas Service Center (where my application was filled )., As making any changes to file needs my signature. So I send all the details with a i-130 form and an application letter in form where I mentioned all the details. But Today I have received a Rejection Notification from USCIS Stating that The payment amount is incorrect or has not been provided. And petition was filed with out dated form. But when i filed the form on 8 Feb I did submit correct fees of 535 Dollar , I do have a copy for it. But the next time when i sent them i-130 for correction purpose I filed it with the older form only. I am not sure what I should do now. And why they have mentioned that I have submitted incorrect fees. Please guide, I am totally devastated. Is there any way I can still fix it or I have to file a new application :( . So all the 4-5 months are wasted :(:( Please help !!!!!!!!!!

This is totally separate thread @Penguin_ie thats why i posted it separately . And can you please give me some suggestion for this

The files of cases we send remain in one corner for months till one officer gets time to review it. Once an officer reviews it, it could probably be just few hours to finish processing.

What i think happened to your case is, by sending another application before they had a chance to review your original file, your new file never got connected with the old file and it went to one officer who saw the old form in your new application and did not find any payment. That's why it might have been rejected. Your original file could still be lying somewhere in one corner waiting to get processed. That officer who got your new file could have tried to locate your old file based on your letter, but they are so lazy that they would just reject.

just to confirm, in the rejection letter, see if they mention the receipt number you got for your original application or if your original application has been returned with the rejection letter.

If your original file is not teturned, You could wait till you hear something on your first applucation or you can start a fresh application but that would required a new fee.
