K1 Visa for fiance, k2 for her daughter advice

Hi all, first time on this site and was told about it from my cousin that used it for his wife.  Question I have is I am filling out the forms and don't really know what to do with the K2 for her daughter.  The understanding I have is to send it in after we get married to have her come live with us.  She's 10 yo at this time and both of them are from the Philippines.  Do I need to submit any additional paperwork when I do the K1 for my fiance's daughter?  We also wondered if it would be better for me to adopt her daughter in the PH or better to wait for her to get here (Understand that this may not be the right place to ask, but didn't think it would be a bad place to start if anyone else has done this)?  She is listed on the I-129F for my fiance too.  Her daughter's father is also out of the picture, as in even his family and friends don't know where he is and no one has listed him missing since he's known for drug abuse (know TMI) and she has already done the legal stuff in the PH for her to be listed as sole parent.  Any advice or questions would be a great help. When she fills out the DS-160, she will also need to fill out a DS-160 for her daughter to get a K-2 visa. Then they can both come together. They will both need to file for AOS after marriage, too. The daughter can follow-to-join for up to a year afterwards.

No problems that is possible.

 

You have already listed her on the I-129F so after the NOA2 when it's time for the medical the child will also need it's own medical, DS-160 and visa fee. She can go with the mother to the interview and she will receive a K-2 visa the same time as the mom get the K-1 visa.

The K1 is really a two-step process: first you file the I-129F as a petition for your fiance, listing her daughter on the forms. Once that gets approved and sent to the Manila Embassy, then you move on to the second step, which is the actual filing for the visas - this is the part where everything your fiance does for her K1, her daughter does for the K2. So, they both need to do the medical, file the DS-160, pay the visa fees and attend the interview.

 

IF, for some reason, you all decide the daughter will move to the US later, then you can do a Follow-to-Join for up to one year of the K1 being issued.
