Hello everyone.   I had my interview at 8:30am in the morning on 12 March, 2018 at Washington D.C field office (Fairfax VA).  Please let me share my experience with you guys briefly.

lol really?parking was behind the building and I had to pay for it .I haven't received nothing yet ,my online status still on interview .how was your interview ?mine was ok but she just said I have to check everything is correct and if I need something else I will send you a letter or you will receive your oath letter in 2 or 3 months.she also marked a decision cannot be made

@blessedbyJesus Thank you! Did you park in a parking garage? One post mentioned a paid parking garage behind the USCIS office.

I wonder if within the F.O they segregate the queue between filers that actually live in D.C. and those that live in VA. ?

Hello all,

 

My wife had her citizenship interview yesterday and passed. The actual appointment lasted between 15 and 20 minutes. So we are now waiting for final approval and the appointment letter for the Oath Ceremony. We hope that will come soon.

 

If you did not send photos along with your application I recommend you bring them with you. We did and the officer asked for them.There was also another applicant who did not have photos and they were asked to come back with photos. So its better to spend a few extra dollars and have them with you just in case they ask.

 

The officer also asked about her traffic ticked and wanted proof of payment. I'm happy we had certified copies of her citation and receipt of payment. Again its better to be well prepared and have the documents in hand. You never know what they are going to want to see. Please be prepared. 

 

Parking was not a problem. There is a paid garage behind the building with plenty of space. Elena's appointment was at 12:30 and we arrived early just in case we ran into an issue with parking.

Office seems to be picking up a bit , trackitt also has end of Jan filers receiving interview letters, hopefully early Feb filers will kick in soon.

updating IL for the last of the Jan filers, this week should see early Feb filers starting to roll in, right now the wait time is almost exactly 3 months after FP, which is slightly better than what late 2016 filers were getting, which was closer to 4 months
