Hi guys,

On March 30, I received an online status update, said "a letter required initial evidence has been sent", I also just received a biometrics letter, date the same on March 30. Wondering if the RFE is actually the biometrics letter.

Anyone has the same experience?

If they are not the same, and I don't receive another letter about RFE within next few days, what should I do? Can I call the USCIS customer service number, are they going to be helpful?

Thank you!

Different things.

Our status online changed to : "On March 3, 2017, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number "

Then we received hard copy letter about the biometrics appointment date, time, location and all.

You received an RFE it sounds like asking for something, so you'll have to wait until you get the letter for it.

If you don't receive it eventually definately call them and inquire about it.

so what is your online status now?  I was checking other posts on the forums, and some of them say the RFE is actually the biometrics letter. Is there any update on your case after the status "we accepted the fingerprint fee"? , I had this status before it changed to a RFE. Thank you.

Your biometrics letter and your RFE are not the same thing. If your RFE was done on March 30th and you RECEIVED your biometrics letter in the mail on March 30th, it's not possible for these to be the same thing because the RFE was generated AFTER they sent out the biometrics letter since you have to take in consideration mail time and processing.

With that said, give it a couple of weeks from the date that it says it sent out the RFE, go to your biometrics appointment as normal, but def give them a call if you don't receive the RFE within a couple of weeks.

Ours is same status as I had put even though we completed the biometrics on the appointment date of March 31.

Again like Ash and I said, it's two separate things. You'll just have to wait to see what the RFE letter asks for or says.
