Hello VJ.

My wife was approved today and I need to know is it mandatory that I be with her at the POE to US?  I want to be with her but might not be able to get off work. I know we have 6 months (won't wait that long) but her medical exam and vaccs with expire in mid May.  So if anyone has recent experience with this, please let me know.

Did you mean to be with her at the airport when she arrives and getting through CBP? If that's what you meant, then no. You can just wait for her at the arrival hall. Reason I am reading your question that way is because you said you couldn't get off work. Again, assuming you meant you couldn't leave your workplace early to rush to pick her up from the airport.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Sorry.  I meant taking extended time off work to go and get her then fly back to US with her.

Thanks for clarifying. To answer your question, it is not mandatory. She can fly to the US on her own and get through the CBP on her own while you wait for her at the arrival hall :) Good luck!
