Hello guys...i am seeking for informations regarding the k-3 visa..

you see my husband filed for it to get me faster but then i read a lot about it here in visa journey that it was obsolete...so i am wondering what's gonna happen to our case then..

We're still waiting for either I129-f or I130 NOA2 and its been 7 months since we received our I130 NOA1...

It would be nice if somebody can answer me..and thank you in advance..

Hi! We have the same situation. I posted the same query here and someone told me that no action should be done because normally the k3 will not proceed on NVC stage. We are also waiting for NOA2. Hopefully it will be approved this month. Good luck!

December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!

February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!

April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)

May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

We received a new status via email from the USCIS stating that our I-129f was closed because the applicant or petitioner received a status or benefit through other means..

What do they mean about that? Is our case going to be IR1/CR1?what shall we do?

Can somebody help me?

Yes, the I-130 will remain open and be processed for a CR-1 visa. K-3 is obsolete and extremely rarely issued anymore. It was common back when CR-1 visas took years to process.

It's only an estimate, but probably soon (weeks) based on your timeline. You're a little behind average (about a month), but not outside of normal processing times yet.

It's nothing unusual, so I wouldn't worry. It just takes time. Spousal visas seem to be running long again...around 12-14+ months again (it was down to around 10-12+ months not long ago).

Once the I-130 is approved and leaves service center, the petition will be sent to NVC for processing (~4 months or so), then the embassy to apply for the visa (a month or so). So estimate about 6 months or so, but could be a month or so shorter, or slightly longer.
