Hey,

I was preparing my husbands Affdavit (he is the US citizen) not knowing that W2s don't equal Tax Returns. I submitted my AOS last Wednesday.

Can I go ahead and correct it somehow and submit the missing documents? If so, how can I do this?

It's better to submit it now.  I made a correction to our package and sent it 3 days later.  It changed the scan date from December 9 (when 1st set of papers were received) to December 13 (when additional papers were received). If you wait longer, the time will reset from when NVC receives the last paperwork.

Thank you so much for your reply. How do I do this? What do I write in the cover letter that they know it belongs to my package that was already received?

Also, I'm a little confused on which IRS Transcripts are actually needed. The whole package of like 20 pages?

Use the cover sheet that was included in the welcome package. If you are sending the tax transcripts, send all pages front and back. I sent tax transcripts from the past 3 years as requested. They will match both packages up when it's reviewed. We didn't have any  problems with ours.

I never received a welcome package. I'm doing the AOS from K1. I don't even have a case file number for the AOS yet because I just submitted the package last week to USCIS in Chicago.

Please fill in your time line.  I thought you were CR-1. I'm not familiar with the K1 process. You may want to contact USCIS or post the question in the K1 forum.

Oh I'm sorry. I will do that. That's why it says AOS though in the headline and my timeline says K1 visa. I'll update my timeline immediately. Thanks though!
