Hi there, 

 

I've been trying to do some research into the medical exam and where to get it done. We only just filed our i-130 this week so the medical will be quite a few months from now! 

 

I'm just wondering if anyone knows are there are any places in Northern Ireland for getting the medical done? ... Or will I have to go to London? What a pain if so!! Googling isn't giving me much in the way of answers so I'm relying on the experience of others for this one. I know there is a private hospital not far from me that offers "visa medicals" but unsure at the moment if they're relevant for this process.

 

Anyway, any advice would be much appreciated! :)

Knightsbridge, London is the only place it can be done, I believe.

Hey, my fiancé lives in Northern Ireland, and unfortunately you HAVE to fly to London- it's a total pain! <_< Here's a link that will help with details about the medical. Although my link is for the K-1 and you are doing a IR-1/CR-1, I don't see why the address would change... I wouldn't trust the local office that says they do visa medicals. It sounds really convenient though! 

 

If you need immunizations for the IR-1/CR-1, try and get them from your doctor in N.I, because London will charge A LOT for each shot. Maybe you already know that, but saving some $ during this process makes a huge difference so I figure I'll share just incase. If you do not need vaccinations, your arms are lucky! :lol: Hope this helps!

It is London - I have just booked my medical for 6th February.  Flying from Belfast with that airline I can't stand - but the flight was only about £25 return. 

11/07/16    I-129F mailed to Dallas lockbox
11/09/16    i-129F received date    11/14/16    NOA1 Date on Hard Copy Notice    11/15/16    NOA1 Text and Email. Case sent to CSC    11/18/16    NOA1 Hard Copy Received

01/30/17...NOA2 approved per USCIS status update  02/07/17..NOA2 Hard Copy Received   02/15/17 NVC assigned case number  02/16/17  NVC case number received (by phone/scheduled medical)
