Nice try, I am not scaremongering anyone.

 

People are making life altering decision based on the things YOU claim to know something about, even if they are not the original poster there are other people reading.

 

A link that says people on here are not lawyers does not absolve you from giving out misleading information.  Why risk telling people something that might not apply to their case - there is no way to know their whole story truthfully though you sleep just fine at night.

 

in the future you could add the caveat:

If you can manage to avoid getting picked up by the immigration authorities until the day you submit your adjustment of status application, then your subsequent stay in the United States will be lawful, unless there are other problems with your application or eligibility.
