HI VJ members

I read  the sealed package and what it contains : All our documents sent to the embassy  , as long as the documents inside the sealed package are the same document we sent to NVC and to the embassy then why there is a warning not to open the sealed package and give it in the POE. what else could be enclosed in the package ? and what happens after we give the sealed package to the immigration officer.

If you open the packet, when you go through immigrations, they may believe you tampered with the documentation or changed things. That's why it is sealed from the embassy and should remain that way.

Hi

The packet as mentioned before contains all the documents the NVC sent to your embassy where you had your interview. The embassy add other documents submitted at the interview. On arrival at the POE you inform the border patrol officer that you have been given a packet for immigration. At the airport i arrived at the officer took me and my son into another room and they opened the packet. He put the information on the computer and then he stamped a temporary green card in our passport. He then told us we would have our social security card within a few weeks and our physical green card 6-12 months. The social security card and green card came very quickly. The whole process lasted about 30min. :D
