Congratulations to everyboy getting approved!

And a question about the pictures. Are you bringing actual pictures? As in photo paper? It's cause we only one like a couple pictures printed but most of them are in pur comouters or phones and I was wondering if it's worth it spending money printing them in photo paper or just putting them together on a word and printing them on a normal piece of paper.

Cause I might have to start making an album while we wait...

We brought photo album which has pictures printed on photo paper. IO took three photos from the album. Btw, it's cheaper to print photos at Walmart.

Congrats! My interview was at Chatsworth, too.

In general, we have the same experience. Our IO was kinda intimidating but I understand it's part of her job and she's definitely good at it. The most important thing to remember is that you don't forget dates and prove that the marriage is bona fide. She approved my application on the spot, too. *happy dance*

I was so happy she only asked for the vaccination supplement even though my Medical Exam was past the 1 year mark already. She knew what she was doing. :)

thank you and congrats to you guys!

Yes I agree remembering dates is extremely important.

As for the photos, it doesn't matter in my opinion if its on paper or photo paper as long as you bring them.

I printing out my pictures at CVS.

Sorry to re-quote myself.

Here is another critical question:  My step-daughter aged out on Feb 10th, 2017 (her 21st birthday).  The time between AOS receipt date and her 21st birthday is exactly 6 months (that is plenty long, IMO).   What is the chance that her case would be denied due to her aged out?

Hi fellow VJers,

Do any of you know how to check the processing times, if your case is still in NBC? If you check on USCIS website, they don't show you dates for I-485s, but this is where my case still is. How can I estimate when I can expect it to be transferred to my local office?

Also, what is the difference between local field office and Service Centers? How do I know where my case will get transferred?

Thank you!

You Can call and push 1 and 1 then it will tell you where your case is at. NBC is processing August filers according to them.

Thanks for the information.  I just checked for my wife & my step-daughter.  According to the automated response, their cases are still being processed in NBC @ Lee's Summit, MO field office.

Q1: How do I find the processing timeline?  USCIS NBC doesn't have processing dates for I-485.  Q2: Once NBC finishes my case, it will then transfer it to local office, right?  Thanks.

I just wrote it above they are working on August filers BUT that really doesn't mean a lot since November filers are getting approved up there and people from a year ago are still waiting so it's really just one waiting game. Are you a K-1? Then you may be considered for a interview waiver since it's not at a local office.

Hey August filers,

August 19th here. We're also still waiting. I submitted an online service request on Feb 20th when it was officially six months from the receipt date. Haven't gotten a response yet but due to hear back by March 12th. It's not a huge deal that we're still waiting since my husband can work/travel. His medical expires at the beginning of May though so I'll get nervous if we don't hear anything this month, really don't want to have to pay to redo one.

We're traveling out of the country also in May for my sister's wedding. I never really considered that he might not have his greencard by then since it seemed so far away. I know his EAD/AP card should do just fine but it will still make me a bit nervous. We live quite close to the Canadian border and I was hoping we could take a little trip up there while we are in the area (we will move away next summer), but until he gets a greencard, my husband would need a visa, and we don't really want to go through the hassle of applying, paying for it, etc ...

Here's hoping for more approvals soon!
