Congrats to you as well on getting approved! Can I ask what your experience at the field office was like?

The interview was very smooth and easy for us. They just asked how we met, when did we meet. How many time I visited my wife. And show them on going relationship like lease, tax return, bank account, health insurance and photo. Then go over yes/no questions. The reason I believed that they go easy on us because my we current having 5 months baby so they didn't ask us provide vaccination info which I was very worry because my wife not complete all require shots before we came to the interview.

Denver friends - what kind of interview request did you all get? The one we got is not the form from USCIS (the I-797) it is a form from the local Denver office, and our only had two boxes checked for what to bring - passport and medical. Just wondering what your experiences were?

My wife's letter has the top 3 boxes check.  My step-daughter's letter only had the top box checked.

Good Luck to you

That's so interesting to me - I have no idea why the second and third boxes are not checked for us, since we are adjusting based on marriage, maybe it's a mistake?

And thank you! Only 17 more days!

Hi Ijroul,

How long did you wait for the scheduling of the interview? Did your uscis website status change to inform you about it? Our time of filing is a bit close, just a week behind you. My uscis website status has been stuck to "case ready to be scheduled for an interview" since  february 17. We have received RFE before that though. Not sure if that affects the scheduling but hopefully it's just based on time of filing. I'm worried my uscis website status is not updating just like what happened to my EAD case status. I never received it because the uscis status never updated so we never knew it already went on the mail. Probably sent to someone else's mailbox as we live in an apartment complex. By the time we found out, it was too late. Anyway, that's a different story. I just wanna be proactive this time, and prevent that from happening again. I hope I could receive an interview schedule soon. Congrats you have yours scheduled! Everything should be quick after!

Is that the NOA date? October 11. I saw one timeline who filed a little bit later than me but already had green card. I guess if I don't receive any this month, I should call.

I read in my Dec filers group that NBC keeps your file until your interview date is set. They're working on September 2016 now, so maybe you'll hear something next month?

Does the NBC do the scheduling? I might be blaming Denver office wrongly for being slow lol. Hopefully I get something soon. Thanks!

Hey there. Honestly, processing times seem to have almost no rhyme or reason to them. There are folks on this forum who applied for AOS back in March of 2016 and just got interviews in March 2017. The Denver field office seems to be speeding things up a bit now, my husband and I applied on September 22, 2016 and we got our interview notice in the mail on April 13, 2017, and our interview is scheduled for May 18, 2017.

As far as the RFE, I really can't say one way or another. We received an RFIE in October, they received our documents and resumed processing our case on November 4, 2016, and then we got the interview for May. I have no idea if we would have gotten an interview sooner if we hadn't had an RFE. Also, our status on the USCIS webpage has not been updated since November 4, it still says "We've received your response to our request for evidence" Sometimes they must just not update the website. I've seen some other people on the forum that their status had been "ready to be scheduled for an interview" for several months, so who knows.

At this point, I think it is safe to say that you *should* get an interview within a year of filing for AOS, and hopefully much sooner. We were thrilled with 8 months. I am now just super nervous for the interview.

Best of luck to you and make sure to update us when you get new info!

The top three were checked for me. Need to bring passport, I-94, spouse and evidence of marriage and shared life. They must already have my medical details from the K1.
