It's not about volunteering unneccesary information. It is about being asked and answering truthfully. Lots of things in this immigration process are unfair but that doesn't mean lie to beat the system. If asked always answer truthfully no matter the consequences and answer truthfully on the medical form.

Our case was in AP for 1 1/2 mos. I looked today and the website said "REFUSED" ?. I called them to find out why. An the lady said it was still in administration processing. I'm not crazy and know what it says. But I just don't know why or what it means for us to do.

All that you can do is wait for the notice as to why.

Ugh I saw that refused status for a year and a half.  I know how you feel.  Just makes your heart sink.  I'm so sorry this happened to you. Hopefully, it's something you can overcome.

The process of a refused petition/CR1 is as follows:

1. Embassy returns case to USCIS with recommendation to revoke petition.

2. USCIS will either reaffirm without sending the petitioner a NOIR letter OR will send petitioner a NOIR letter to which you have to respond within 30 days. All points must be addressed, meaning the NOIR will list the reason(s) for refusal. If USCIS is satisfied with the response/ evidence

to back it up, they will then again send it to the embassy with recommendation to approve. A second interview will be given and a decision
will be made. Reaffirmation can take 9-12 months and in many cases 1 1/2 years, it is somewhat embassy specific as to when the embassy
will actually return a case rather than sitting on it for 6 months first. USCIS's priority is not with returned cases and they take a long time

to send out NOIR's and adjudicate NOIR responses.

Email the embassy and ask what the reason(s) for refusal is and ask your husband what questions were asked and what the CO

said word for word. Usually he would have an idea. Sounds like they did an investigation during AP and may have come up with something they don't
like.
On the other hand, sometimes there are glitches in the system and the visa has not been actually refused but in some kind of transition

from AP to refused to ready.
If you get no answer from the embassy that is specifically addressing why ceac says REFUSED then inquire through your senator
your exact status.

My heart just fell 1,000 times in my belly ?. Oh my gosh that is alot to take in and process. Lord I sure hope we don't have to go through all of this here. Cause we went to AP because of the AOS paperwork amount didn't match the return amount we believe. I will be emailing them tomorrow about it if I don't get one from them. They said we needed another cosponsor and that was it. So it wasn't anything other than that and pics from our wedding. But our cosponsor ddnt file one of her W2's which made the amounts different between the two.
