We tried to schedule the K1 interview and it states there are no appointments available. Has anyone encountered this? Du we just wait till they make more dates available?

We just called the Ghana embassy today, there are no appointments available on the website and they are not willing to make an appointment on the phone. Our petition expires in about two weeks. They want a notarized letter sent to USCIS asking for extension on the petition and they say they will email the beneficiary when they are ready. So for people out there who are in the same boat as me take action, call them ask for extension before ur petitions expire otherwise it will be a different story. I hope this helps someone out there. This too shall surely pass.

I was told the consulate can simply extend the validity of the petition if it expires. That same info is on the DOS website as well.

Did u talk to someone at the embassy, I am so confused because I was under the impression once the case left USCIS, it was out of their hands. I don't know why they told my attorney to send a notorized request for extension to USCIS

Yea when I emailed the embassy back in October I was asking about getting an interview date before the petition expires (Jan 14) and they told me the consulate can extend the petition.

Our petition expires this week on Sat. We haven't heard anything. My fiancé says he'll be going up to the embassy tomorrow with screenshots of all our CEAC status updates.

My approval also expires in two weeks time. All efforts to schedule an appointment for interview at the Embassy yielded no result. Now very confused as to the next move. Am also in the same boat. Any more suggestions ?

This very frustrating. I went ahead and did the request for extension and notarized it, we will send one to Ghana and one to uscis to cover all our basis.

My fiancé went to the embassy and they told him to wait for the letter. But I checked us travel docs today and more appointment dates have been added. So we have scheduled there.
