Sadly, Hillary lost ground in DC, with a disloyal electoral voter there.  Several voters changed their vote on her, didn't they?

Comparing the electoral college result to the popular vote is complete oranges and apples. Had that been the system, campaigning would have been different, and there's no telling who would have taken the popular vote then. What if Trump would have gone to 20 large cities across the US(and them and only them, same with Clinton) and promised them the world? The fact is the game was played in order to win the electoral votes, not the popular votes.

I wasn't arguing with the outcome, I was merely pointing out that Trump doesn't really have a mandate, or more importantly most Americans who voted, didn't vote for Trump.

Oddly, a friend of mine did a road trip from the West coast to the East coast last year, around August I think.  She mentioned on FB that she saw thousands of Trump signs, and less than 5 Hillary signs.  She was convinced Trump would win.  I scoffed at the time.  But turns out she nailed it.

In this video, it doesn't seem that Trump was actually mocking the reporter, after seeing his response to other people on the stage.

I always hear this stuff about a mandate.  What the heck does that mean?  If a president has a mandate does that mean they get to rule like a dictator and the congress has to give them everything they want?  We have three branches of government that are supposed to keep each other in line, so who cares about any stinkin' mandate.
