For what it's worth, my tear-off portion did nothing to speed up the EAD/AP renewal process. In fact, it's taking longer to renew than it took to originally apply.

Yes. Husband overstayed a tourist visa in 2002 for many reasons. They wasted to see the ordinal stamp and cardboard paper. I'm assuming to confirm that he did enter legally.

Don't worry they sent an RFE for that for us as well, the original visa stuff he came on.

Have you renewed your EAD yet and gotten it? Or is it still pending renewal? Ugh, the idea of it taking more than 90 is scary.

They recommend to file for renewal at 120 days, but I'm sure 90 is generally sufficient. If your green card happens to be approved in the meantime, there's no harm.

I got my first one in 75 days, renewal is still pending. Granted they have two more weeks to stay within the 90-day range. I was late off the mark because I sort of forgot that I have to renew everything since the GC hasn't come in, haha. Lucky (?) for me, I don't have a job anyway, so it isn't a massive hindrance. You can expedite if you're currently employed/accepting employment.

We sent it in. But she wanted the original copy. She kept it and said you will not get this back. It is the property of the United States department of homeland security now. Do you understand that you have surrendered your expired visa?

Just checked the processing times listed on the official USCIS website. They've been updated to reflect "as of November 30, 2016" processing times. I can't remember which office it was last month that seemed to regress by a month, but St. Paul seems to be following in those footsteps! As of October 31, they were processing cases from January 27; as of November 30, they're processing from January 23.

GAWD. When does it end??

I called USCIS today to ask if my RFE response was received (online status hasn't changed since 2015), the tier 1 was very kind and transferred me to tier 2 without delay. However callback service tells me that their wait time is currently 500 minutes. That's over 8 hours! Last time I called the time was 140 minutes and I got a call back about 3.5h later. I don't think they'll be calling me back at all this time. :hehe:

I personally wouldn't trust anything USCIS claims their processing times are right now especially knowing that the election year royally swamped them up.

I was actually surprised to see that they updated it on early this month. They usually do on 15th or so. So it was Queens NYC that 'regressed' I don't know if it was an error or it actually regressed.

It was 'as of Sept 30 processing Feb 9' and became as of 'Oct 30 processing Jan 3. Now it says 'as of Nov 30, processing Feb 2. '

Can't find an option to edit my earlier post. Tier 2 called back (what sorcery is this) with the most unhelpful attitude. My RFE response is not in their system but I should "Just trust it was delivered if the tracking says it was", well my tracking shows it was delivered but signature was waived (whyyyy) so I don't know if they just left it in some random box somewhere and whether it was or was not actually delivered. Frankly, I trust neither the USPS nor the USCIS to not mess up their jobs. The other alternative was to infopass at the office to inquire about delivery.. except that I sent my RFE response to Louisiana while my office is in California.

I swear I am going to get an ulcer AND an aneurysm.

THAT IS RIDICULOUS!!! Have you contacted your congressperson for help speeding this along (can't remember from earlier threads)?

Yeah, not trusting USCIS processing times at all. As I mentioned in an earlier post, seven couples in our area have already received GC, despite filing up to FIVE MONTHS after us.
