Traveling to and from USA with Temporary Form I-551

My wife has got the Temporary Form I-551 on her passport, my question is can she visit the U.S. for the first time so that that actual Greencard will be mailed at some point and them come back in a week and go back to the U.S. say after a month or so ?

 

Or can you not leave when you enter the U.S. for the first time on the Temporary Form I-551 until you get the final Greencard card ?

She can come and go freely with just the stamp on the passport.

Cateogory: CR1

  • NOA1/Notice of receipt: Sept. 15, 2015
  • NOA2/I130 Approved: February 8, 2016 (NO RFE) :)
  • Process slowed down by us
  • Sent documents to NVC: April 11, 2016
  • Scan date: April 14/ May 7th (NVC said both I dont know why)
  • Case Complete: May 31, 2016 (No checklist) :dancing:

August 17, 2016: Visa Approved!!!! :dancing:
