Hi all,

Im about to apply to remove conditions and receive my 10 year GC. Once I have this is it ok for me to move to another country or would that be abandoning my gc?

Do I need to wait to get my citizenship first?

I believe you need to get your citizenship first. Moving out of the United States would be an abandonment of your status, in my opinion.

Thank you. I thought as much! Looks like the processing time for removal of conditions is really long so shouldn't be to far off from that anyways! thanks

Agree with previous posters. You need citizenship first. Also something to think about, if you are moving to a country that does not have a treaty with the US, as a US Citizen you still have to do a US tax return and report all worldwide income. If the country you are thinking about going to does not have a tax treaty with the US you could be double taxed on your income in the foreign country.
