True that!

I will not look back on this journey with fond memories, but I will look back knowing that every step was worth it, whatever the outcome.

The very definition of fraud is to deceive for personal gain lol. That's exactly what we would be doing. Useing the system to our advantage and covering up our real intent to immigrate on a non immigrant visa

These types of shyster lawyers are part of the problem.  Instead of providing good info, they provide illegal short cuts and ways to get around requirements.

Can anyone shed some light on the advanced parol and employment authorization card? I heard that it takes around 3 months to get approved but that's half the time of just waiting for a green card. Wether we marry while she is here or do the k1. We can still apply for these correct? Some of you are saying that we will half to wait 6 months to work, that's only if we dont apply for an EAC right?

to get the greencard you're looking at a year.  ead/ap I'd approximately 90 days, maybe less.

If you marry and she goes back she has to do the CR-1 which will take around a year but give her green card upon entry, in which case no need for EAD/AP.

If you marry now and she stays or if you do the K1 then yes EAD/AP, as mentioned, after around 90 days  after application...give or take..

Green card this way can take up to around a year as well.

If the financials play any roll, her staying now is cheapest... then CR1 and most expensive K1 (all the way through GC that is).

In my case EAD/AP took around 70 days after applying (we applied a few days after the wedding). GC took about 4-5 months. Essentially EAD/AP is a temporary green card - it allows you to work, and to travel overseas and return to US - so it doesn't really matter how long the GC takes.

The wait for k1 is much shorter now than it was when I went through it a couple of years ago. Your partner can still travel to see you during that time too. If your partner leaves and re enters to marry on tourist visa

- that is visa fraud, and you may not get away with it
- it will take months to get GC during which time your partner can't work or leave and re enter the country.

CR1 would take longer. If I were in your situation I'd go k1, else marry right now (she didn't enter with intention to marry, so not fraud).
