Hi everyone! Are dependent children listed in the I-751 supposed to receive a I-797 NoA letter? I think they should since our VISA's expire soon.

I filed the I-751 for my wife (and included her two children ages 18 and 16). My wife received an I-797 letter one week later. The two children did not receive an I-797 letter. But, my wife and her two kids DID RECEIVE letters to get their biometrics/fingerprints taken this week. I called the CIS customer service and they couldn't provide any answers.

I'm concerned because I believe the kids will need the I-797 NoA letter to work, travel, and receive a drivers license.

Hopefully the GC extension letter for the children will show up soon. My stepson's letter was on plain paper, not the official letterhead that my wife received.

While you are waiting, :time:

YMMV.

Good luck on your immigration journey.
