CEAC Status Still says Ready for Interview - - ONE WEEK After Interview Was Approved

Hi all, sorry if this isn't the right place for this topic. My fiance had her interview on Dec 8th. She was told she was approved and everything went fine. She was not told she needed any more info/documents etc. Several sisters she went with have already started receiving their Visas or have seen their status updated and changed.

When she checks her status on the CEAC website, it just says READY - and talks about scheduling her interview

Should we be concerned? Anyone else experienced this? We were really hoping we'd be able to spend Christmas together, but that's looking less likely by the day.

Thanks in advance

This is fairly common.

Usually after the interview CEAC will go to a "Ready(OPEN)" status, then "AP", then sometimes back to "Ready" before "Issued" or straight to "Issued".

This is normal. You're fine.

Is she planning on picking up the visa from 2go or having it delivered?

No reason for concern, it took another two weeks after the interview for my wife to receive her visa through 2GO

As for nothing from the embassy. Did you check your email SPAM filters ?

Is your fiancee completing CFO once she has her visa or did she attend already?

Visa chase and citizenship.. DONE!

She attended the class the day after her interview. So she has to go back to get the sticker once her visa arrives.

It's just strange that it says Ready and reads like she still needs to do her interview even tho she already did it and was told everything was good. For many days the date still said December 8th which was her interview date. The only thing that changed was on the 14th it said updated. But nothing since then. Some people who went after her have already received their visas.

If the date changes from time to time that means they are reviewing the application. Relax, once they are happy with the Ts being crossed and the Is being dotted it will show ISSUED, then another 5-7 days and it will be delivered.

There is another Fil-Am couple that I know of down your way, also a few north of Nashville. We are over in Secret City.

Just about everyone gets this. Based on the discussions I had with the case officer he informed me of the steps for Embassy Manila:

the first AP is the immigration unit doing the paperwork for approving the visa

the first ready is a notice that they are finished and the paperwork is being sent for visa issuance

the second AP is the visa issuance people doing their own paperwork

the second ready is that the visa has been issued and is currently being processed for delivery

Then "issue" is posted and the visa has left the BIG house to YOUR house.
