Rick Perry was an outstanding Governor of Texas for 14 years. He started the campaign to bring businesses to relocate to Texas and it was and still is today very very successful.

He cut spending in Texas. Lowered Property Taxes, and limited a lot of regulation, He help transform Texas into one of the economics powerhouse in the world.

This is actually not a bad position for Perry. Energy is a very big industry in Texas, obviously oil and gas, but Texas is also a leader in wind energy.

This reminds me of when I was in charge of the audit of an electric utility company. As part of the audit we toured one of their lignite fueled electric generating facilities. The nick name of the power plant was "Big Brown." I jokingly asked them if it was called Big Brown because that was the color of the surrounding countryside. Nobody from the company laughed.

If more coal burning power plants are opened in Texas then there will be more pollution in the state. We already have too much pollution in the air. On many days you can look at the horizon and see a brown layer of pollution hugging the ground.

Maybe you live too close to Dallas or the Trinity River. . I am familiar with GP and it not hazy there, nor is any any part of North Texas.

Big Brown is the powerplant on Lake Fairfield owned by Luminant. I have fished there a few times in the winter due to being a powerplant lake and having warm temps in winter. I have never noticed it being hazy or brown layer.

I just spent 3 days last week Thursday Friday Saturday on Squaw Creek Nuclear Power plant owned by Luminant, it's clean there also. The prior week I was on Lake Monticello and Lake Welsh both power plant lakes in East Texas fishing, they both run off lignite coal it very clean and green and full of deers out there.
