Okay, so my fiancé is from England and he had his interview in August, they told him to wait a couple of weeks and he would hear something in the mail. A month had passed and we heard nothing, so he called the embassy and they told him to continue waiting, this went on for a while until they finally said he should have his passport by now. Turns out the package got lost, but he finally got his passport back in the end, but there is no visa in his passport, but there is a letter saying that he has 90 days to get into the country and 90 days to get married. Now when he tries to call the embassy it just goes to an automated machine. It is also my understanding he should have gotten two packages but he only got one. I am completely lost and have no idea what to do, he does not have a bad police record his medical went fine, I am wondering if maybe it was a glitch. Does anyone have any advice or any numbers they know to have worked for them of reaching someone?

Yeah we have emailed them multiple times they just do not respond.

Have you been using the contact form? They usually respond in a day or 2

Was he told he was approved on the spot at the interview or was he told they needed to do some further checks?

Things your fiancé needs: the visa, and the big do not open envelope. Without these he cannot enter the US on a K1. Was he approved on the spot? He should have known that as soon as he concluded his interview - there is no waiting for weeks unless something is missing from the case, something is needed from the fiancé and they are waiting for it, or everything is stuck in AP for extended background checks.

I don't exactly know what you mean by two packages. It's one package. A big envelope you cannot open, and the passport with the K1 visa in the outer envelope. You may need to get your senator and congressperson involved and figure out what's going on.

Was he given any sort of paperwork? Something about this isn't exactly making sense here.

He did go through the embassy in London? I'm asking because nothing you've said makes sense for London, is your fiancée U.K born, what does his CEAC status say, does he have a criminal record, protected employment history?

There is something missing and without it no one can do more than guess...

Once he had his interview they just said you will get something in the mail in a couple of weeks, they did not tell him if he was approved or not.

And he didn't even ask? How did the interview go?

Is there anything unusual about his application? Has he ever been arrested? Has he lived or worked in the Middle East? Was he born in the U.K? Has he been denied a visa before? Has he had several prior marriages? Has he ever admitted to recreational drug use? Could anything have been discovered at his medical? Does he work in biochemistry or similar which would give him knowledge of and access to things that could make a bomb? Has he been deported from the USA before? Ever overstayed?
