Hi everyone! I had my interview yesterday.. I am bringing with me my CENOMAR wherein it says i am not married and i am also bringing with me my MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE. They find it strange ( i too find it strange but went to my interview) why i have a MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE and a CENOMAR ( no marriage) at the same time? So they instructed me to go to NSO Pasay and submit forms for me and my husband's CENOMAR. Thay told me that the embassy staff will be the one to pick up the CENOMARS. I also checked on our Municipal office where our marriage was registered if our marriage was forwarded to NSO and they confirmed that they did. They told me that it is a mistake from the NSO. Now my case is under AP and the embassy advised me to wait for further instruction. I am worried of how long will that take and if the CENOMARS they will pick up will be correct.:((

If all they are asking for is a new CENOMAR/CEMAR/FORM#5 then you are fine. PSA will send the documents, the CO will review and make their final decision which in your case you will see your visa in about 2 weeks (normally). Did you ask the CO at your interview if you passed pending the CEMAR? Did you get your passport back (if you didn't then you are still on track for an approval). Check your email including your spam folder for their email which commonly referred to as 221(g). Nothing here to worry about. Relax. Just need a little more patience.

At the final interview, the CO said they just have to verify with PSA before they can approve my visa. They need to see if the result they will get at PSA PAsay will state that me and my husband's marriage is registered at PSA. They have all our documents ( me and my 3 kids). What they just gave me are the forms to submit to PSA for the 2 CEMARS. I' m so anxious since yesterday but now i' m more relaxed upon reading your comments. Thank you so much. God bless!

You're funny! * CENOMAR/CEMAR/FORM#5 *

At PSA a person always submits a request for a CENOMAR, what PSA delivers could be a CENOMAR or AOM (like the switch-over? )

As for the OP, not sure how a CENOMAR was issued if they are married and the marriage certificate was recorded. If PSA issues another CENOMAR the OP will have to go back to the local registry and get their marriage certificate forwarded to PSA again. Hopefully not taking too long.

That is why we are confused. How can we have a recorded marriage certificate if the local registry was not able to forward it to PSA? They told me it might be a mistake from the PSA.

At the moment being you have a CENOMAR from PSA ... you do NOT have a recorded marriage. You need to track down the issue... who is making the mistake, local registry or PSA?

If my marriage was not recorded, where did they copied the informations written on my marriage certificate? If I am not mistaken, local registry forwards it then they are being encoded at PSA. I also went to the local registry and checked with them and they told me that it was forwarded to PSA.

Don't know, that is the question you should be asking PSA I would guess

Yes, when i went to PSA last wednesday, i told the staff about it and he told me that they will verify it on their system. Because the problem might be from the provincial office where i got the CENOMAR. I don't know, at tge moment all i can do is pray and hope for the best.
