I'm married to a U.S. citizen and I'm here on CR1. I have a daughter that I told my husband she's my younger sister coz I was afraid of losing him. But I told himBut I told him the truth lately, so he's thinking of how to bring her to the U.S,when we had said I have no child all through the process he was petitioning for me. Please will be glad to receive some advice on this.

If you lied about having a daughter then you'll have problems bringing her here.

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

Oh boy.

You will have to resolve this with your husband first because you may need his help (financially wise) in order to bring your daughter here.

Yes nuestra, we have already talked about it and everything is okay. He's willing to bring her here. Our problem is he filed for me with no child, if we can file for my child with no problem.

Yes, this may be a problem with immigration as they will want to know why all of a sudden this child popped up out of nowhere. There may be hurdles you will have to overcome.

He can file an I-130 for your daughter as his step-daughter. Most likely the Embassy will require a DNA test.
