Do I need to take my American fiancée passport to the interview in Ciudad Juárez, México?

Hey guys! My fiancée and I are starting to prepare for the interview and when reading the PDF with instructions, one of them states "Proof of petitioner´s U.S. citizenship". I was wondering if I need to take his passport to the interview -he won't be there with me due to work issues- or if a color copy of the passport would be enough to meet this requirement.

Thank you in advance for your advise.

I was the petitioner, and I went to the interview with my fiance. I brought my passport, and they never asked to see it. However, I did attach a color copy of it to the I-134 form as proof of my identity. I don't think you need to bring his passport if you have a copy of it.

I took a copy of his passport and I had his birth certificate with me. They didn't ask, but the copy was already included as part of the supporting documents we have sent already.

Original birth certificate is a much better option :) They ask for originals at the interview stage and from what I have read, will not accept a photocopy of a birth certificate nor a passport.

I brought a copy of my birth certificate, and they didn't even ask for it. They didn't ask to see my original passport either. However, it is always better to have things and not need them then not have something pertinent to your case.
