Can Trump stop me from being with my future wife ?

Unfortunately, I don't really see much changing with the loophole for hiring cheaper (immigrant) labor if Trump is elected. I once worked in a top modelling agency (lol like where Trump's wife was probably working  ) and it was insane how many documents we faked for the girls in order for them to get visas. It was part of my job to fake bank statements, fake editorials so it looked like the girl had modeled professionally before (when it reality they were just a bunch of amateur 'test' photos) and we had a woman working in the company who's job was to basically put together this 'fake' package to prove to the US immigrant people that they were real models....it worked every single time. They never once got a visa rejected for them, despite almost all of the 'evidence' we submitted being photoshopped/fakes.

It seems to me that if company's want to hire someone, they will find a way, especially if it's cheaper and saves them money. So, I just don't see how Trump can personally put a stop to that kind of abuse. Nor Hillary either, of course. I agree with you that it's lame and disappointing that this kind of stuff happens, just don't know what the real solution is.

I decided to start this new thread even if I imagine there should be people anxious about the same thing as well

My fiancée and me have been approved at the US embassy in Paris this Wednesday and I had the famous ( You should get your passport back in 10 days ) so we are currently waiting , on CEAC my case says ready and got updated already twice but we will see. Now we my fiancée and I decided of a date and we should have my wedding next year on May and my POE should be in March 2017 then :dancing:

Now we all know that the US election are quickly coming and I was wondering if Trump could technically suspend ( or cancel ) all visas ( K1 visa in our case) or can we get denied when we will be waiting for the answer of AOS after the wedding. I know that all opinions are different but remember he said he would suspend immigration with "countries that are compromised with terrorism" which is then the case with France , my home country. Maybe we are just stressed again over something we cannot control but I'm super worried that things doesn't work out as we planned especially with all this time , money and investment for making our wedding the most wonderful day of our lives.

Thank you so much for your help , it will be time for me to start learning about American politics because my knowledge is very limited. Thank you so much for the answers in advance.

1. Trump's campaign effectively ended today.

2. On the off-chance that an even bigger October surprise is in store for Hillary, and Trump does win, the answer is:

No.

a. There is no one running for office who has proposed shutting down legal immigration, family reunion or the K-1 visa category.

b. Federal bills in the U.S. (including immigration) are proposed and passed by Congress (House and Senate), not the president.

I am like you I try to read more neutral sites but I do read the other ones to see what they are saying. So that way I get more of a broad overall picture of whats going on instead of a narrow one side type of thing. I saw on your profile you are from Maryland so you might not know alot about swing states and vice versa but my home state of NC which I did receive a absentee ballot is now considered a swing state. The reason for that is a LARGE NUMBER of yes Yankees have moved down from the NE to escape high COL and higher taxes for a better way of life. So in Raleigh and Charlotte the last 20 years the populations have more than doubled and they weren't small to begin with. So that is why they are swing worthy.

A number of people like myself are riding a wave of Anti-Globalism that has hit Europe right now and is here in the USA. We are tired of having our jobs uprooted and moved to other countries like Mexico and China, only to be left with low paying service jobs. Even in my profession of IT a number of companies are laying off skilled IT workers and hiring H2b workers primarily from India to fill those spots. This is done through a loophole by the companies by them saying that "they can't hire skilled Americans and have to recruit from abroad." I do not care that she is a woman and I can name several women that I would vote over Hillary any day of the week, before I would have voted for either of them. But I will not be throwing my vote away by voting for Mr. Aleppo or Jill Stein. I will vote for him because I have seen through her very evident lies, and I do not want to be the one left waiting for 13 hours before my country can even begin to send someone for me.

I have seen many people having Trump signs in yards and and ALOT of people here in the LA area having Bernie signs, but very few people have Hillary stickers and signs. Trump does have a lot of support from people that will not openly admit to supporting him and I have seen that first hand. Why would people openly support him when as soon as they do get vilified and yelled at by so called "Tolerant Left"?

Being from MD doesn't mean one can't educate themselves about politics and state demographics to our southern neighbours. I often wish a dear family member was alive right now to see what is going on politically these days. He knew so much about getting people elected, polls, swing states, how to run campaign.. everything. I'm sorry us ''Yankees'' are changing the demographic. ;-) But it's not just as simple as that to make a swing state, swing. There's lots of factors it would take a marathon to go into here.

Why would people support him? You'd have to ask them. I live in a heavy red county in a very blue state. Trump signs are everywhere. A few streets down there used to be a solid collection of Bernie signs, and there is one Hillary for Prison sign (but that sign doesn't say much to me because that person is a known crazy that has thought the world was going to end at least 3 times now to the point they were featured in the local paper and were embarrassed when us peons on earth weren't being poked with pitchforks and the were partying in heaven). I also am aware there are other persons who make their daily lives about waiting for the end of the world/rapture and believe that voting in Trump is a good thing because it will make the world end (in fact that's what some of the religious support is really all about). There are more signs out for local elections than Presidential ones though. To me I think the age where seeing a sign on a lawn means a hill of beans is over. It doesn't given an accurate viewpoint or overall estimation of support. Yes there's going to be people that will vote for him. And as for tolerant left, what about tolerant right? Try sticking a positive Hillary sign in this county and you are likely to get shot. I could actually show you some examples of that sort of thing going on.

The wave in Europe is not merely about anti-globalism. People are fooling themselves here if they think it is, and this is why extremely dangerous elements are now finding themselves in power. We all know that immigration has problems, but Trump isn't going to fix that for you. No one is.

Actually did you know there is ALREADY a law on the books here in the USA that says if the country of the individual that we are trying to deport DOES NOT accept that person. Then we can automatically suspend any granting of visas from that country, until that country has taken back the individual that we are deporting. The law is just not followed at all but it needs to be.

‘On being notified with the attorney general that the government of a foreign country denies or unreasonably delays accepting an alien who is a citizen, subject, national, or resident of a country, after the attorney general asks whether the government will accept the alien under the section, the secretary shall ... order consular officers in that foreign country to discontinue granting immigrant visas or non-immigrant visas or both to citizens, subjects, nationals, residents of that country until the attorney general notifies the secretary that the country has accepted the alien,’”

http://www.cnsnews.c...-illegal-aliens

https://www.uscis.go...0-0-0-7179.html

It is being followed.

Actually if you fully read the article it says that only those associated with the government including children and spouses were being affected not the entire populace. The law states that all citizens of that country should be affected.

Yeah, when I interviewed for the job, they didn't say anything about forgery. They also smoked in their office among other highly dubious/illegal things. I called the smoking police on them anonymously and they got fined for that a couple thousand, but I didn't find any anonymous "visa abuse" hotlines, so... The modelling industry is disgusting. I quit the job after one year due to my sanity/disgust limit being reached. But my point was, companies cheat *GASP* and will probably continue to find ways to cheat around visa laws so long as it benefits them financially. The whole "We couldn't find any other Americans to do the job" thing....really? You think every immigrant walking around with a (skilled/specialized) work visa is here because they couldn't find a competent American to do the job? <_<

Yeah, and most of them were 14-16 year olds who were acne ridden, sleep deprived and thin haired without the photoshop. Hence why the photoshop person (me) was hired in the first place. :content: Don't believe everything you see in the magazines/fashion ads! Not even joking though, they are mostly young teens. Awkward, isn't it?

Somebody did not do their job at the Consulate, should be obvious if they were hot or not.

No one is against legal immigration, not even Trump. It's the illegal immigration that needs to come under control. Illegal being the key word.

Trump is on the record of wanting to stop Syrian refugees, immigrants who are Muslim, immigrants from predominately Muslim nations and the from nations with a history of terrorism.

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

Allowing those refugees into our country en masse has already been shown to be problematic. There is not the requisite amount of screening that all of us had to go thru, and many bad characters will get thru the lack of a system. I, too, am against it. There are so many other closer, viable options in the Middle East for those displaced, why can't they go there?
