Scammed by online boyfriend and he faked a marriage contract

I met an Egyptian man a year ago on an International Dating Site. I was suppose to go see him and one day before I was to leave on myf light he told me he was arrested and not to come. In addition to being heartbroken, I lost money on flight and a flat I rented with him in Hurghada Egypt. What really concerns me however is he asked for my picture and passport and told me he got a marriage certificate. What concerns me is that he could somehow use this agaisnt me. Any advice on what I should do? Thank you.

Looks like there are fingerprints on it under each photo. How did he get your finger prints?

I'm curious about how he could use it against you.

And is that how marriage licenses work over there? It's a pasted on picture onto a piece of paper with a thumb print that I'm assuming isn't actually yours because you weren't there to do it.

Again though, sending ANYONE, ESPECIALLY someone you haven't met that kind of personal information is asking for trouble. Did you send him any more than your passport? Does he have your address, phone, social security number, credit cards?


Googling shows that it looks pretty close to a marriage lisense for muslims in egypt.

Take the website with a grain of salt, but do some google research on it. I doubt you're married without being there unless he had a woman stand in your place claiming she was you.

first,

This marriage certificate is fake because in the ministry of justice you can't write inside that paper anything accept your signature with full name and the two witness and finger print only,all of the information inisde wrote by word sheet and they take all the information from your passport and his ID and you should be there.

Second,

He is fake and never trust him,why? Because if he wants to do it right he knows how to do it not just to run away in the day you were coming.

Third,

If he goes to jail and he arrested,he would never be able to contact you except if he released.but he makes it up for an excuse.

Fourth,

He can't sue you because it's fake contract and if he arrested for this will be in jail from 3 to 7 years.

Fifths,

he is not the right person for you because he is not a real man.(a real man will never do something like that)

Please don't take my words in sensitive way but I really don't understand fake people why they are wasting other people life.

This is my advice.

Choose a real man next time.

all I can think off is that he faked a marriage certificate to be able to stay with you in a hotel room, Egyptian Muslim men are not allowed to stay with foreigners with out a marriage certificate in a hotel. It looks soo real too, like someone said, he probably chickened out...

Questions asked to my husband Where did we meet? How did we connect?(this is what she asked, i guess she meant how did we stay in touch) Did we have a wedding?

Visa ready August 31, 2016.

its a fake marriage certificate... so he probably use someone elses fingers
