Sikhs have Temples, Gurdwara's.

I thought the term temple basically just translated to "a place of worship"...I thought a gurudwara was just a Sikh temple.

Lots of Sikhs in the UK, they called them Temples in English.

The next step is all about your husband, the one seeking a visa; you do not play a direct role at the embassy. That said, he ought to be prepared to answer any questions related to the wedding, which he should be able to if all stakeholders were part of the decision-making process.

The CO would've reviewed your husband's file days prior to the interview, and already leans towards approval or denial based on the strength of the evidence submitted. If they insist on additional evidence.. and that's not the end of it.. but it's not a good sign. On the other hand, the CO typically asks a handful of questions and approves the visa if s\he is satisfied to the bonafides of a relationship.

He was approved! However he told the interviewer we wanted to leave India after our 2nd anniversary, which is in March. She told him for that he will have to get another medical exam in January and drop off those results along with his passport at a drop off center on or after our 2nd anniversary, then he'll get an IR1 visa.

Our case is a little confusing at this point and would probably confuse some people though. My husband was approved, and then asked the woman about staying here until our 2ND anniversary. She said what she could do is give us a 221g which would allow us to apply in March for an IR1 visa instead instead of a CR1 visa. All we need to do is get another medical report and drop it off at a drop off center along with his passport. I feel if I tell people here we got a 221g they would think we got denied, which wasn't the case.
