My Fiance has a Birth Certificate from Portugal but was born in Venezuela

Hello,

My Fiance was born in Venezuela but his birth certificate was issued in Portugal where his family moved shortly after his birth.

The Consul in Madrid (that is where he resides) has asked for his birth certificate from the country where he was born.

He has no family left there and It seems like an impossible task at this point without him actually going to the country to get it himself.

Has anyone had a similar situation and could give us some advice?

Try contacting embassy of Venezuela in Madrid. They should issue that kind of documents for citizens or previously citizens.
