Ok, sorry to hear that, i was in similar situation i had to ask london for extensions/ reissuance. they held my visa application open as my k1/k2 had expired and allowed me to reapply as such. i had to pay for new medicals etc but i did not have to pay for new visa/ courier.

i have been approved again and my new visas arrive tomorrow.

Im through London and i think every embassy has there own rules

first thing is contact them explain and then see what they do, they might be great and hold them open for you and will let you reapply for new. good luck
