Sputum Test, Interview date and NVC

Ok, so the wife has to undergo the sputum test. She is on day 2 of producing the samples.

Our original interview date is July 15th. The results of the sputum test wont be ready until August 15th.

Meanwhile the status of the case still shows "At NVC" even though its been nearly 3 weeks since we got the P4 letter.

My question is who reschedules the interview and if it is me when do I contact the embassy to do it? Do I have to wait until after the results or can I do it before? My plan was to wait until the case shows "At Embassy" but I am not sure why that is taking so long.

I also wonder if any of this (meaning interview and or time to wait for visa) will be expedited after the results or we have to wait another month for an interview and then 7-10 days for visa.

Any insight is appreciated.

You cancel the interview, and here is the cool thing YOU schedule the interview again once your medical is clear. So once you medical is clear you can grab the closest date available.
