It will say on your j1 if you are applicable for another visa or not...I'm sure it has to do with that maybe you need to show proof you don't have the 2yr ban?

They only sent the I-129F form and the check. Nothing else. That is the problem.

I can't believe we didn't realise more was needed. I'm such an organised person, I took way too many documents to the embassy interviews for my J-1 and I over think things to cover my back. This is a hard lesson learned for sure lol! The only thing we can do until we receive the letter is keep our fingers crossed that they have given us the chance to send in evidence required. We have almost all initial evidence together now.

Be sure to have the passport photos ready to send to your fiancé if you're in the UK and he's in the US (or if it's the other way around, he needs to send them to you). The rest you can scan and send electronically, the forms don't even need "wet" signatures.

You can also print out US size passport photos. They do not have to be physically mailed either.

Sites like these can help with taking your own photos >

Today I checked our online case status and was greeted with this message...

NOTICE EXPLAINING USCIS' ACTIONS WAS MAILED

On June 6th, 2016, we began reviewing your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Reciept Number WACXXXXXXXXXX. We mailed you a notice informing you of the action we intend to take on your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice and submit any requested materials. If you do not receive your notice by June 20, 2016, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Can anyone help with what this means? I've tried finding some positive info on this site and all over Google but I keep finding posts that say it is a NOID (notice of intent to deny) yet I can't imagine them wanting to deny us at this stage. I worked in the US for 2 summers and my fiancé is a police officer. Surely that must stand for something to show this isn't a fake relationship.
