Hello VJ!

I just received the instructions from NVC with the next steps for both of my parents and i have a couple of questions regarding the case numbers and the AOS fee and hopefully someone can answer them for me.

1. Each of my parents have been assigned a separate case number... is that how it usually is or should both my mom and dad have the same case number?

2. I was reading somewhere that the AOS fee of $120 needs to be paid only once per case unless the cases are joined. So do i need to pay $120 for my dad and another $120 for my mom? or do i need to have the cases joined somehow and pay $120 only once?

Thanks in advance!

They need separate numbers. It's two separate petitions.

You should only have to pay the fee once. BUT you will have to send the evidence twice (two I-864 with pay stubs and tax transcripts.)

If they're joined together, when you sign in with one number you should see both on the CEAC website. It doesn't matter which one you pay if theyre joined properly.
