I got my “welcome” notice and it was a great relief knowing we don’t need to go for interview. In the notice it said that I should receive the new Permanent Resident Card within the next 3 weeks. It’s good to hear that though I got some question regarding how they address the mail. It is address on my name BUT they use my Lastname (Maiden) initial as my middle name. [/b]

When I did my biometrics the lady at the local office told me that they don’t allow using my lastname as my middlename. So, she encoded on the computer my firstname, middlename (when I’m still single) then my husband lastname.

Now, my question is: Do I need to call the 1800 number and inform them that my Middlename in the notice that they sent is incorrect or should I wait till the card arrive?

I thought everything is going smoothly for us.:(

Where did she get that idea? Is that specific to the ASC where you did your bio? I used my last name as my new middle name and had no problems with it. Do you have IDs other than your old passport that shows your new middle name? DL, SS card?
