Here' what I get at the USCIS website that I'm registered at;

On February 15, 2007, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Is THIS my NOA1? And I haven't got a letter nor an email from them yet. What "instructions" are they supposed to send to me?

Have they cashed your check? Your case number would be in the back of the check.

Yeah, the update from 02-23-07 would be a "touch". :thumbs:

Congratulations on the beginning of your process. This is a long journey so pace yourself by remembering that each of the little encouragements you get along the way like this first NOA are just one of many, many steps. so many steps in fact that if I had know at the beginning how many steps, I would have been terrified.

Bottom line, I am sleeping next to my new wife tonight and beign together now is worth all those steps and all the time apart. Praying for you as you make this journey that you both grow closer and stronger.

First - the instructions are pretty non-impressive - there really aren't any to speak of. They are going to send you an official document I-797 Notice Of Action and thats it until the NOA2. (Save it, make a copy for your fiancé but no need to send right away - you'll be sending other things later.)

The date you see "last processed" is a date you will want to remember - any time it changes is a touch..so if its 02.27 now..and later changes to..03/12 (or whatever), that is a touch.

Thanks, yes this is exciting, even though just a first couple small steps.

Funny, this time apart IS making us grow closer. We talk soooo much!

I'm just curious how long it takes CSC to mail out my "instructions" and NOA1. I'll be visiting her again soon and want to take her a copy of the NOA1.

Yup, that's the NOA1... As for the "instructions" that's if they will ask for something from you - RFE in short or if they already approved your petition. Hope for the latter :thumbs::thumbs:

Good luck with the rest of your journey! :thumbs:
