Denied visitor visa in the past

My question is I will be filling out an I- 130 for my soon to be spouse. I noticed a question , not sure if it was on the I-130 or another form after that, It asked if you ever been denied a visa. She has been denied a visitor visa 2 times in the past a few years ago to visit the states for vacation. She is not sure why. she has a very good job and owns her own home in China. She is guessing because she is single woman. She is over 50 and still working . Was hoping the question was referring to spousal or fiancé visa and then she could answer no. anybody have any experience with this question and the correct why to answer in our situation.

Answer as it's asked, they know the answers already....chances are it won't affect the spousal visa unless the denial was for fraud or misrepresentation. Many visitor visas are denied because they don't believe the person is going to return to their home country....in this case it wouldn't matter so it would have no affect on the spousal visa.

It says have you ever been denied a visa....pretty clear cut. Answer the question.

Yes, I agree, I just wanted to be clear the question was pertaining to visitor visa to as well .Being that it was question on spousal petition, was hoping that was that the question was about if ever denied spousal visa.... Do they let give you space to say what visa you were denied? Does this create a REF for more info? Should I front load this to explain that she was denied visitor visa? She was trying to come here on a vacation, Disney, New York and a few other places she wanted to see.

Have you ever been denied a visa?

What type of visas are there and which ones has she applied for? A visa? B Visa? C visa? D visa? E Visa? F visa? G visa? H visa? I visa? J visa? K visa? L visa? M visa? O visa? P visa? Q visa? R visa? S visa? TN visa? U, T and V visas? Spousal visa? Other immigrant visas?

Sounds like she applied for a B visa and was denied twice. List both application dates for the tourist visa. My wife had a denial for a tourist visa that we listed on the K-1 application. She was approved.

Ok I didn't recall seeing the details of the question , guess I should try and find where I saw it and read it again. So if I'm understanding from Dave that the question when answered yes will say what visa you were denied and the date. So answer will be yes , tourist visa and then give dates. Thanks . yes read way to much into it.
