It is helpful to do it if you can, or else you'll get an RFE to do it later on in the process.

We went to the CS. She referred us to a 3rd party to do all three shots. Shots were $160 and CS visit was $200. Reading the forums, looks like some people paid less for everything and some paid more (she has health insurance too but they didn't want to accept it, even though vaccs are supposed to be free under my plan).

Yep, that is a common problem with obtaining vaccinations or any kind of health care in the US.... non acceptance of the health plan by the provider, or non-coverage of the procedure/visit by the health plan.

Several years ago, when my family came over via their K1/K2 visas, the CS would take my health insurance for my wife, but we couldn't then afford health insurance for my stepson. (We did get him his own health insurance later on.) The end result was my health insurance paid for some of my wife's CS visit, and none of my stepson's CS visit.

It all comes down to what we have to do for our new family's safety and welfare.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

You just need to submit a copy of your DS3025 that you should have gotten when you picked up your medical packet. If you dont have it don't worry, your medical packet was in the stuff you gave when u POE

Not needed JA gives vaccinations at medical exam for K-1. Does not need to go to a Civil Surgeon.
