Administrative Processing?

My fiancé was told that he passed his interview and that he got the visa after only 3 questions. His interview was on December 22nd but now when I check his case number on the ceac website it says:

"Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved after administrative processing, your passport will be delivered by our contracted courier to the address you specified when you booked your interview."

He didn't receive a 222g or any request for more information. They didn't even ask for the 131 or any of my financial information. I'm confused now and getting worried. What's taking so long? I heard of a lot of people that got their visa within a week after the interview.

Has anyone had the same experience recently at the Manila embassy?

AP is a normal part of the process, the wording from the embassy is generic, most times AP is only a couple days to a week, only in extreme cases does it take several weeks or more.

Normal processing can take two weeks before 2GO has the visa package, embassy is closed for all U.S. and Philippine holidays. It is only been about 6 working day since your interview... relax. Patience.

Relax, your experiencing a normal processing. Keep in mind we just had two holidays so naturally you will be delayed. You visa will be issued soon. Have a little more patience.

It's difficult for anyone to predict when you will receive your visa. We are in "normal" visa processing times and we are seeing 5 to 10 business days after interview. But, at times we have seen upwards of 30 days to 6 months for some.

Part of the test measures in answering your question are, estimating the time it will take USEM to process, issue and 2Go to deliver. Since no one can exactly simulate all visa conditions, actual visa processing of each person will vary. As a result, when these estimated visa claims from other applicants are published, I almost always state the standard disclaimer "your mileage may vary."

The USEM states in their Embassy Letter; "Do not finalize arrangements for travel to the United States, dispose of properties, or resign from your job until a visa has been issued and delivered to you".

Did you not read the post I made just before yours? No one can tell you for sure when you'll get your visa. It's impossible. You just need to be a little more patient. Edited by Greenbaum
