It is correct, there is no glasses allowed when taking US Passport photos. My husband had to take his off too and we were in the US when we had them done and person confirmed it for me. (I thought you could keep them on. oops!)

Can eyeglasses be worn for the photo?

Eyeglasses worn on a daily basis can be worn for the photo. However, there should be no reflections from the eyeglasses that obscure the eyes. Glare can be avoided with a slight downward tilt of the glasses or by removing the glasses or by turning off the camera flash.

Happy that the photographer asked me to do so!

Welcome to the flock!

The NOA1 means that the envelope has been received in the office but they haven't checked through everything yet. So if the payment was in theenvelope, as it should be, they will have it. Your husband should check his bank account to see if the check has been cashed.

If there is anything wrong or missing with your paperwork, they will let you know.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

We are at a similar stage. I am getting my pictures done today. I was planning on removing my glasses too. I wear them all the time but I am concerned about the glare.

Hi JFH

Did you mail your package?

Ours was delivered on Jan 20 ... We are now waiting the NOA1.

Congrats! That's the new centre so I will be keen to see what sort of timescale you have.

We are almost there. Just waiting for one document that we forgot about to be sent from overseas and then it's going to Phoenix. Envelope is all ready.

Today is the first day my case status is available online, 18 days after NOA1. Not that it tells me anything new, but I was starting to wonder if there was a problem.

Nice. I hope that means it will move quickly for you. Who knows how long it will take them to add that service center to the processing times information page. I don't think VJ tracks it yet either.
