I sold my house on november 2014 i putted it on the market and sold it in one day for the asking price haha lucky, the house market here is locked and it can take up to 2 years before people sell their houses. so i was really lucky. my car i sold 2 weeks later because i spend 3 months in the usa. Its not worth the money to let it stand. At the same time i became sick, so my boss did not extend my contract so that ended by january 1st 2015.

im living with my mom and i can use her car and my husband sends me money so now and then to pay for some living and insurance further living my life.

So no house no work and no car haha i can better just book my ticket now too i guess haha.

well im thinking about it, im feeling great im recovered well and im ready but getting a job is hard and i think it is not nice to take 3 to 5 months a job and then say byeee im going. Thats not really nice to do.

Probably more than people will admit. :D

I sold my apartment, all my furniture and packed everything last summer, so well before having my visa in hand (just had my interview December 21st). This was more because of loosing my job after they found out I was planning on moving to the US though. :( I would have done all of this before the interview anyway, but not quite so early. Selling property and furniture, giving notice at work etc is usually a four month venture and who wants to wait that long after getting the visa?!?! Once I have my visa, I want to reunite with my husband. 17 months in the visa process, heck no I'm not gonna hang around Sweden selling my apartment and car and furniture and stuff for another four months.

Are you planning on selling property etc now too, before having your visa in hand?

I am wondering how many of you does not lisn to this?...

The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment

until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

Our case is a bit strange... Ja! We were planning a Disney Vacation with some friends so we got our tickets last june. We apply for the I130 on July and we estimated our journey was not going to be finish until July 2016 at most. But we have our interview on Feb 29th so I guess our vacation tickets now became our "moving" tickets.

My husband is keeping his company here so he doeasn't have to quit his job and last but not least our apartment, we are not going to sell it at all for now, we are going to rent it so we have an extra income...

If the situation were different I think I will wait after the visa is issued and then do all, but since I live with hil we are not in a hurry to do all. I understand that some of you may need to do things really quick so you can meet your loved ones! I would do it too!
