Hey guys so just curious as to where abouts in America you moved too and what made you choose that city/state? I know if you moved for work it's different but if you just moved over here to look for work or start a new lifestyle. We are currently considering Washington or California, my partner is from Washington and we love it there but in California the weather can be a lot warmer as we are currently living in Queensland, Australia. Curious to hear where you moved

i would say Cali, really open bohemic and fun state! haha.

My fiance is relocating to Wisconsin, since that is where I currently live/work/attend school.

We are planning on moving to Minneapolis though as soon as we are married since that is where I will be going to law school next fall.

Weather will be about the same, warm humid summers and crazy cold and snowy winters, but there state seems to be doing a bit better financially. Not a fan of my current state government aha

Arkansas, because my USC husband (who previously lived with me in Ireland) had family here, and we had two little babies.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I am moving permanently in March next year to Brooklyn, NY. My parents have a house so we can stay there till we are on our feet.. Now the cold weather will have to adjust too.

Priority Date: July 24, 2007 (EAC)

AOS fee paid: February 2013

Request embassy change: May 2013

Son born: September 2013 (added to petition March 2014)

Yes, Camden is a magical place. Just imagine how challenging it would be to create a space wherein you could have half a century of Federal, State, County and Municipal policy failures. Layer that with massive applications of public funds, illicit drugs, urban decay and gangs. All told, present day Camden is quite a special deal. We managed to destroy the place for a fraction of the cost of a formal Federal program! :rofl:

My parents were raised in Brooklyn. Dad said it was not quite the same after the Dodgers moved to the Left Coast. Now, Dad is a Mets fan. Choose your baseball team carefully; it brands you in NY! :rolleyes:

Florida... We only have two seasons... Insanely hot and the season of not as hot! (randomly we get a few cold days but cold days here are about 11 Celsius or 45 Fahrenheit, usually about a week's worth)

No state tax! Disney World and Universal Studios are here, lots and lots of beaches!!! A very large hispanic community from all over!

Warning***Horrible drivers!! Blinkers... never used... getting cut off happens daily! Even though it rains fairly frequently people still drive like they have never driven in the rain before!!!
