I'm well aware of the fact that I had latent TB in my lung. 4 years ago when I studied in the states, my college told me so and last year when I had my annual check up.

I went to Cho Ray today (btw, it's not crowded. I didn't have to wait) and they made me come back to do the spit test (3 days in a row) and the result won't come back until 2 months later. Also, the nurse told me I need to give her the vaccine yellow paper to complete the package (is it true?)

I also paid for the express mail as the nurse told me to.

What I'm confused about right now is, can I go to the interview w/o the TB result? Will they still send me the package w/o the TB? The nurse said yes because lots of people have to do TB and still go to the interview but i dont trust her fully. She also said the package will come to me and the embassy will come and get the TB result. I'm so confused.

Anyone in this situation before?

I don't know where you are, and it may depend a lot on that, but I went to my interview without the medical being complete because of having to do the spit test. They looked at all my other paperwork and then just waited until the TB results came back, and then I got my visa.

You might check with the embassy where you will interview, to make sure.

Good luck

Did they send you the medical package without the TB or you went in without the medical completely?

Thanks

If I recall correctly, I had no medical package at all for the interview. The doctor's office sent the whole package to me when the TB test was done, and I forwarded it on to the embassy at that time.

Oooh I hope it would be the case then I'll at least don't have to worry abt it. I'm waiting for the embassy to email me back. Did they keep your passport until you have the medical package?

They did keep my passport initially, but I decided to spend the wait visiting my fiance, so I asked to have it back for the trip. Then I just sent in the passport in again when I sent the medical documentation.
