Does anybody knows an appropriate number, or a number to call in USEM? We have been trying to call them since last week and they have been telling us that we are directed to call a non immigrant section. We for sure selected the appropriate number on their selection to speak w a customer service for immigrant visa. But they seems like they did not want to do anything w us at all.

This is ridiculous! We can't get a hold of anybody anymore. It wasn't this bad when we did my fiance visa.

Yes, they have an automated telephone system that routes calls and just like calling NVC you have to be 500 % patient in calling.

I am confused with the questions, you mentioned you were directed to call NON-Immigrant visa section, yet when calling you said you are sure you entered the appropriate number on their selection to speak with a customer service for immigrant visa

The Embassy’s main trunk line 301-2000 is experiencing technical issues and prone to congestion. If your call can’t get through please use these numbers: 301-2166 or 301-2177

Try the other numbers above, that is posted on the Embassy website today. So maybe they have problems with their line.

Try this number:

02-982-5555

Keep in mind though that you and the USEM would have no choice but to deal with the country's telephone company lines!

So, you may think you are calling a certain number when it gets forwarded (ask God how) to a non-related number :)
