I think when you've been on this site a while you realise that people are as not unique as they want to make themselves out to be. The whole "I'm the man, I don't like American women because they aren't 'real women' etc." is the same spiel that Kip amd Gary used to come out with. Justashooter before that and who knows how many others before that. The macho alpha male bravado and the objectifying attitudes to women - its all the same.

Obvuously i wouldnt judge someones marriage from what they post online but there certainly are cause and effect patterns. We all know the divorce rate is higher than the average with visa marriages and many of us have our own stories to tell about that. However i think for many people from these supposed 'traditional' cultures, moving to the US is an eye opening experience in more ways than one. Especially when they realise they have more freedoms available to them than what a patriarchal relationship would allow.

I'm not single. However I'm also not married either.

For anyone who goes through a divorce, a bit of reflection is surely inevitable I'd say. Except for Trump of course, I doubt he does much of that. Probably just thumbs to the next page in his catalogue
