Does anyone know of a good P.I. firm in Manila? What is the approximate cost to find out where someone is living / working? My fiancé has disappeared on me. Writes me once every 10 days or so. So frustrating. Her packet 3 will be arriving in a few weeks and I can't locate her.

So until this issue is resolved and you understand her "reasons" for ghosting, do not, under any circumstances, pay for and schedule the interview.

If she is willing to ghost on your now, you now have a clear idea what could happen in the future....

As others have suggested, best advice is to move on.

You have the beginnings of a scammer, but I know that this isn't the only time you felt something was not kosher in her behavior. I hate the say this but you are being scammed, so it's time to move on and stop investing in this relationship that is going no where.

Sorry that I am blunt, but we see cases like yours from time to time so your not the first this has happened to. You can do better for yourself.

As the petitioner of the 129F you need to send in writing a request to the address listed on the I-797 form letter (NOA1), the receipt letter, asking for withdrawal. Nothing will occur fast after your submittal, either, as the request has to catch up with the casefile.

The good thing is you can go find a girl that is more deserving. Good luck.

Sorry to hear that. How much money did you send her?

She may very likely have moved onto the next "sucker".

Rule #1 : If they ask for money, DROP them!!!!!

And I am not referring to sending money to pay for the visa/medical and such. I am talking during "the romance", should they constantly need money for this or that... it is time to move on or be ready to kiss your money goodbye. I just read this to my wife... she agrees.... you got scammed.

This morning I was reading the previous thread about this and was wondering if what happened after filing a missing person's report was suggested.

To painful to do - but yeah. I agree with the guys... Move on..

I can recommend one of the best PI but it's not worth it. If this is love for real, now one will go into hiding after NOA 2! This is huge step closer to be with the person we wanted to spend the rest of our life with!
