I think it boils down to what you're really promoting. I think anything taken to the extreme can spiral out of control, but when your ideas are rooted in hate, you just can't convey it properly, no matter how hard you try.

I think it's already in their heads at the time, and when some talking head says something to the like, it's like the thought becomes justified.
